Business Expo Committee
This committee plans, coordinates and markets the Annual Business Expo. Proceeds from the Business Expo & Job Faire are used to enhance Chamber programs and services.
Golf Tournament Committee
The Golf Tournament is the Chamber’s largest fund raising event. The Golf Committee plans, coordinates, and markets the Annual Golf Tournament. Proceeds from the tournament are used for Chamber programs and services.
Tustin Tiller Days Pancake Breakfast and Parade Float Committee
The Tustin Tiller Days Pancake Breakfast and Parade Float Committee plans, coordinates and markets the Annual Tiller Day Pancake Breakfast and the Chamber’s float entry in the parade. Proceeds from the breakfast are used for Chamber programs and services. The Pancake Breakfast and Parade is held on the first Saturday in October.
Education & Workforce Development Committee
The Education and Workforce Development Committee assists the educational institutions by developing a clear understanding of the employer and employee needs of the local business community. The committee will maintain a close working relationship with the Tustin Unified School District, South Orange County Community College District and other education institutions throughout southern California. Roles of the committee include:
- Assisting educators in developing curriculum that meets the business community workforce needs.
- Advocating and promoting of government incentives for business education.
- Educating local businesses on educational opportunities for the workforce.
- Providing programs for the workforce to enhance and improve IT skills, including basic computer skills.
- Developing programs and sponsoring job faire and shadow programs to promote local students to work in the local business community.
This Committee & the BEDC have a combined meeting to discuss issues on the 2nd Thursday of each month, 8:00 am in the Tustin Chamber Board Room.
