Education & Workforce
 
 
  The Education and Workforce Development Committee assists the educational institutions by developing a clear understanding of the employer and employee needs of the local business community. The committee will maintain a close working relationship with the Tustin Unified School District, South Orange County Community College District and other education institutions throughout southern California. Roles of the committee include:  
     
 
  • Assisting educators in developing curriculum that meets the business community workforce needs.
  • Advocating and promoting of government incentives for business education.
  • Educating local businesses on educational opportunities for the workforce.
  • Providing programs for the workforce to enhance and improve IT skills, including basic computer skills.
  • Developing programs and sponsoring job faires to promote local students to work in the local business community.
  
     
  This Committee & the BEDC have a combined meeting to discuss issues on the 2nd Thursday of each month, 8:00 am in the Tustin Chamber Board Room.
